This knowledge base article describes steps to modify a cancelled TSW reservation. This may be necessary if mistakes were made during the cancellation process such as forgetting to release inventory and return Owner's points usage.
Detailed Solution (step-by-step):
- Reinstate the guest reservation (see Illus. 1)
- Search for guest reservation
- Highlight the correct reservation to reinstate
- Reinstate reservation
- Accept the reinstate message
- Delete the inventory (see Illus. 2)
- Highlight the inventory
- Delete the inventory
- Accept the delete message
- Return the Usage (see Illus. 3)
- From the Usage List Window, note the Contract, Usage and Points the reservation cost the Owner
- Hit the OK button to return the points to the owner (CRITICAL)
- Confirm the inventory is removed from the Reservation
- Cancel the reservation (see Illus. 4)
- Go to the reservation menu (while the reservation is still open)
- Cancel Reservation
- Accept the cancel message

Validation (how do I know it works?):
1. The reservation now shows as Canceled from the Reservation Search Window (see Illus. 5)

2. Navigate to the Owner record, the contract record and Usage Year that you noted from the Usage List window in Step 3.
3. The points should be returned to the Owner and be displayed as Points Remaining (see Illus. 6)
