Description of Service:
Many of our large Xerox machines have the ability to scan paper documents and convert to electronic copies. This service is useful for when you have a paper copy that may have required physical signatures prior to emailing somewhere else, for example.
Directions on how to scan will vary by machine but typically you would scan by visiting the 'Services' section on the machine and then selecting 'Email' as this is typically how the scanned document would get to your computer.

How to Request Service:
If you are having trouble scanning documents, we may be able to assist. Team members should submit a ticket through the IT Service Desk. If there happens to be a physical problem with the machine our managed print vendor, MRC, may have to get involved to repair.
Team Member Responsibilities:
Most team members in the same office area will utilize the same printers. Often times, if you are not familiar with a particular function, one of your office neighbors can assist and knows even more about the machine than we do in IT!
General Turnaround Time:
If you are stuck on scanning and it just won't work, there could be a challenge that we can help resolve. Typically we can get back to you within a couple of days. Other times, there may be a physical challenge with the machine and MRC, our managed print vendor, has to get involved. They are typically out the next business day when you call them using the information provided on the MRC sticker from the machine.
