Description of Service:
The service desk provides the resources for moving workstation computers and peripherals. IT equipment moves should be requested through the Service Desk.
Under no circumstances should IT equipment be moved without authorization and support by the IT Service Desk.
Applies to:
All team members needing to have IT equipment (computers, monitors, phones, copiers and printers) moved to another location.
How to Request Service:
Do you need a printer/copier moved? Click the "Submit Form" button at the bottom of this page to initiate your request.
Team Member Responsibilities:
If visiting us through our customer service portal, please be prepared to fill out all fields in our ticket forms. This will ensure that you receive the fastest service possible as it avoids communication challenges.
If calling us on the phone, please make sure you are familiar with the property or office you are calling from and be ready to provide a good description of the challenge you are facing.
General Turnaround Time:
In general, IT requests at least one week (7 days) for support and coordination of 'Move' requests, whether printer, copier, computer, monitor and/or phones.
DO NOT ATTEMPT to move IT equipment (printers, copiers, computers, monitors or phones) without IT Service Desk support and authorization.
Of course, IT will work with your request or challenge to resolve based on impact to the business and urgency noted.
Related Policy:
Unauthorized IT equipment moves and/or purchases creates downstream impacts/challenges to business including, but not limited to: inventory, tracking, billing, and warranty.

Any individual or department found in breach of contracts may be liable for repairs or replacement to IT equipment and fees associated with voided warranty.
