Description of Service:
8x8 is the companies enterprise phone system available at all properties and resorts throughout Welk. This system provides many features for team members including voice communication, video conferencing capabilities, chat and even faxing! This service is hosted in the cloud which helps offer a great experience wherever and whenever a team member has an internet connection. Team members can receive this service on their softphone (an application that runs on their computer), a traditional desk phone and even through a mobile app available for iOS and Android.
Basic service is given by request on a softphone and includes the ability to make and receive calls, answer voicemail and communicate via chat to other 8x8 enabled team members. Additional features are available but do come at a cost to the requesting department.

Generally Applies to:
All team members can have access to this service. Call centers access this service through 8x8's Virtual Call Center product (VCC) while all other team members use the Virtual Office product (VO). As each resort has a hospitality phone system, resort operation staff typically do not use 8x8 (certain exceptions apply).

Those requesting new service should note whether or not additional capabilities are required and if so must provide a budget code.
General Turnaround Time:
Features which cost additional budget are purchased by IT through 8x8 on demand. Typical turnaround time for all requests is 5 days. Challenges with service are usually resolved within 24 hours.
